Nationally certified technicians will be offering free child car seat safety checks on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 12:30-3:30 p.m., at Snohomish County Fire District 1’s Mariner Fire Station 11, 12310 Meridian Ave., Everett.

Parents can also recycle old and used car seats for free at the event sponsored by Fire District 1, Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, Safe Kids of Snohomish County and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

Most child car seats are improperly installed, putting children and babies at risk. Free car seat safety checks will be offered on a first come, first serve basis at the Dec. 14 event. Parents should allow 30 minutes for each car seat check and should bring car seat instructions and vehicle owner’s manual.

Fire District 1 offers child car seat safety checks twice a month by appointment. LEARN MORE
